Mavi, the leading Turkish jeans brand, set new standards in sustainability last year. It was the first Turkish clothing brand to be awarded a double “A” score on the Carbon Disclosure Project’s A-list, which recognizes its achievements in climate and water protection and places it in the top 2% of the 21,000 participating companies worldwide.

Progress in 2023

Mavi is committed to creating a positive impact along the entire value chain through sustainable practices and innovative solutions. A significant milestone last year was the increase of the sustainable All Blue collection’s share of sales from 14% to 25%. Mavi was able to reduce 87% of Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions per value added (compared to 2019) and increase the share of renewable energy in its operations.

Goals for the future

Mavi has set itself ambitious goals to further reduce its ecological footprint. By 2030, the company plans to source 100% of the cotton it uses from sustainable sources. Mavi is also aiming to become a climate-positive company by 2050.

All Blue collection

The All Blue collection is at the heart of Mavi’s sustainability initiatives. The products in this collection are made from certified organic, recycled and Better Cotton licensed materials. These eco-friendly fibers, combined with technologies such as e-flow, laser technology and automated dispensing systems, help reduce water and energy consumption and chemical use.
