INTRODUCING: UN PASSING TIME
As Norwegian Rain marks 15 years, they return to a collaboration that felt instinctive from the very beginning, their partnership with Italian watchmaker Unimatic – a cult favourite among collectors.
First introduced in 2020 to mark Norwegian Rain’s 10th anniversary, the collaboration emerged from a mutual admiration between the two brands, grounded in the shared belief that “time weathers everything.” Their debut model, the Modello Uno, was released in two limited references with a total of 93 pieces – all of which sold out within just four minutes.
This new edition, Un Passing Time, is its prequel. Here, they capture copper before corrosive activation – before patina forms, before the surface begins to tell its story. It is a meditation on suspension. A quiet moment before change becomes visible. Copper is central to this story. It is favoured by T-Michael not only for its tonal warmth, but for its honesty. It reacts to air, humidity and handling rendering each dial unique.

“It darkens, softens, evolves. In many cultures it has signified conductivity, of energy, of heat, of exchange. In our universe, it conducts time itself”
T-Michael, Norwegian Rain
“THE ALEX” AND “THE T”
As designers rather than traditional watchmakers, their emphasis remains conceptual or better still, philosophical. Alex approached the project through precision, embracing GMT functionality, controlled oxidation and disciplined timekeeping.
T-Michael leaned into the opposite impulse: getting carried away, losing oneself in time, subtly highlighting the passing of days rather than the counting of hours. No two watches are identical.
The result is an Italian-made GMT field watch built for endurance, 300m water resistance (≈1000 ft / 30 atm), individually pressure-tested, powered by the Seiko NH34A automatic movement with a 41-hour power reserve and hacking seconds. At its centre sits a one-of-a-kind copper dial, laser-cut with 31 apertures marking each day of the month. The hands reflect the philosophical approach.
