ABOUT THE COLLECTION

Not every classic begins with a big idea. Some come into existence because they are needed. The Postman Collection by Red Wing Heritage is exactly such a case. Developed in the 1950s for US postal workers who covered long distances on foot every day and depended on reliable, comfortable footwear. Made for everyday life, built for durability.

To this day, the line remains a firm part of the Red Wing DNA. Reduced in design, uncompromising in function. The central element of all models is the iconic Black Chaparral leather. Durable, easy to care for and versatile to wear. Matte for everyday use or polished for more formal occasions. Complemented by comfort-oriented sole constructions made for long days.

Postman Oxford No. 101

The first model in the line. A classic derby, developed for maximum everyday versatility. Clean, functional and to this day one of the most versatile styles in the Red Wing range. Equipped with a Cushion Crepe sole for noticeable comfort, from the commute to the evening.

Postman Chukka No. 9196

Originally conceived as a uniform shoe for police officers, the Chukka brings greater shaft height and additional protection. In fusion with the iconic DNA of the 101, the 9196 Postman is born – today one of the most elegant and comfortable models in the Red Wing Heritage collection.

Carrier No. 3486

The feminine interpretation of the 101 Postman. Slimmer silhouette, lighter construction, without losing any functionality. Made from the same Black Chaparral leather and equipped with the Women’s Traction Tred sole, the Carrier combines classic Red Wing character with modern versatility.

All models are made in the USA and, as is customary with Red Wing, resoleable. Made to last.
